Rent a Website
A professional HTML5 / CSS website with hosting included, from R399 per month on a 6-month minimum term.
Rent-a-Website packages run for a minimum term of 6 months. Pay monthly in advance (month-to-month billing), or pay the full 6 months upfront.
30 days’ written notice is required to cancel. Cancelling before the end of the 6-month minimum term is subject to a R2,500.00 Website Build Recovery Fee to cover the build cost. Moving your hosting to another provider cancels your rental.
Adding new pages, disk quota or resources means upgrading your Rent-a-Website package.
Each package includes a Squirrel Media hosting package: Lite Hosting (Starter), Basic Hosting (Growth) or Power Hosting (Premium).
Domain renewal is excluded and is invoiced annually at current domain pricing.
You supply all content, images and information for your website. We don’t write content, and we won’t use copyrighted material on any website we design.
All code remains the property of Durban Website Design (Squirrel Media) until ownership is handed over. Want to own your website? Ask us for a buy-out evaluation.

How does Rent a Website work?
You choose a Starter (R399), Growth (R499) or Premium (R699) package. We design and build an HTML5 / CSS website for you, and a Squirrel Media hosting package is included. The minimum term is 6 months; after that it carries on month to month, and you can pay monthly or 6 months upfront. See the Rent a Website packages.
How long does it take to build a website?
Most standard business websites are designed and built within 7–14 days once we have your content and sign-off, depending on scope. Larger custom software or CRM projects are scoped and timelined individually.
Will I own my website and its content?
Yes. Once your site is paid for in full, the design, code and content are yours. There's no lock-in — you're free to host and manage it wherever you choose. A rented website is the exception: its code stays ours until you buy it out, while your content and domain always remain yours.
Should I choose WordPress or a custom HTML site?
If you want to edit content yourself day-to-day, WordPress is usually the better fit. If you want the absolute fastest load times and don't need to edit it often, a hand-coded HTML/CSS site is leaner and quicker. We'll recommend the right option for your goals during our first chat.
Can I make changes to my site myself after launch?
On WordPress builds, yes — we set you up with an easy-to-use editor and can walk you through it. On custom HTML builds, small text/image updates are usually a quick, affordable request to us since there's no built-in editor.
Do you handle hosting, domains and email too?

How many rounds of revisions do I get?
Every project includes rounds of revisions before launch so the site matches your vision. We'll confirm exact revision rounds and any post-launch support terms upfront in your quote.
